SUMMER OF ZOMBIE 2014: Which Celebrity Would You Want On Your Zombie Apocalypse Team?

In this fourth round-robin group interview, I asked the authors:

If you had to pick one celebrity to have on your Zombie Apocalypse team, who would it be and why?

So who did our authors choose? Did they go for brains or brawn? Or was there another criteria for their choice…

Armand Rosamilia, author of Dying Days 4

Alyssa Milano. We’d re-populate the human race with super sexy kids.

Julianne Snow, author of Glimpses of the Undead

Donald Trump – for two reasons. The man has more money than just about everyone put together so he’s likely going to be able to whisk us away to a private island somewhere. And I’m sure he has an arsenal underneath that comb over…

Thomas M. Malafarina, author of Ridge of Dead (Dead Kill Book 1)

Michael Rooker. Why? Seriously?

Charles Ingersoll, author of Day Zero

I’d go with Terry Crews. He strong… and funny!

Stephen Kozeniewski, author of The Ghoul Archipelago

Huh…um…maybe Neil DeGrasse Tyson?  Because when it comes down to it, you know the horde’s not going after MY brain if NDT is on the team.

Sarah Lyons Fleming, author of Until the End of the World

Someone not annoying, which rules out many. Hmm, maybe Vin Diesel. I know nothing about him and am pretty sure I’ve never seen any of his movies, but he’s a big dude. I think he could fight. If he was annoying, he’d make a long-lasting meal while the rest of us escaped.

Stevie Kopas, author of Haven

Jason Statham because, drool.  And he has fighting skills in real life.  Bonus points.

TS Alan, author of The Romero Strain: A Zombie Novel

Crusade Comic Book Founder Bill Tucci. Because I know he’s also prepared and fully armed along with being willing to do anything to protect his family and friends.

John O’Brien, author of A New World: Untold Stories

Vin Diesel.  The why should be fairly self-explanatory.  Oh wait, can I get Megan Fox?

Ian McClellan, author of One Undead Step: A Zombie Novel

I don’t really have a lot of use for celebrities. I can’t really imagine one who wouldn’t be completely worthless, unless you want to count one of the guys who have those survival TV shows. Bear something or another. I don’t know. I don’t watch much television.

T.W. Piperbrook, author of Contamination 5: Survival

Bryan Cranston.  If the final season of Breaking Bad is any indication, I’m sure he’ll have some swell ideas on how to survive!

Shana Festa, author of Time of Death: Induction

Chris Hemsworth. I’ve already come to terms with the fact that I’m not making it through the apocalypse. I may as well get me a little something-somethin before I go.

Bryan Cassiday, author of Poxland

Danny Trejo.  The zombies would think he was one of them and let him infiltrate them.

Robert Chazz Chute, author of The Plague of Days Season One

The Rock seems like a nice guy. Wait…is Zoe Saldana available?

Rhonda Parrish, author of Waste Not

I’m going to go with Woody Harrelson, though I’ve gotta say I was tempted to pick David Tennant or Neil Gaiman… just so I could hang out with them, zombies or no zombies 😉

Rebecca Besser, author of Cursed Bounty

Chuck Norris, ‘cause he so tough he’d turn the zombie’s human if they bit him. 😉 LOL

Claire Riley, author of Odium II: The Dead Saga

Thor! What? he’s a celebrity ha ha, he’s as real as so called celebrities anyway haha. Seriously, people are just people. What makes someone a celebrity anyway? Because they’ve been on the television? Thor’s been on the television!

Jack Wallen, author of The Last Casket

I’d have to say Jackie Chan from the late eighties. He’d not only make survival possible…but hella fun. Who wouldn’t want that?

Jay Wilburn, author of Zombies Believe In You

Danny Trejo … he appears to be unstoppable even after being killed in film after film.
