Wow… but not in an entirely good way. While the make-up effects were decent, the action scenes fairly skilled, the delivery of the living characters in the film made me not want to care about them at all. To the point I wanted the zombies to simply get it over with and let us get back to our real lives. Watch it if you want—the choice is yours.
During a Day of the Dead celebration, the dead come to life to prey upon the living.
My Rating: C
Interesting Facts: Despite the assertion in this movie, the Day of the Dead (Dia de los muertos) is observed on the Catholic All Souls Day which is November 2nd, not November 1st (the 1st is actually All Saints Day); filmed in Santa Clarita, California (home to one of my favourite series The Santa Clarita Diet); and the budget for the film was $1.2 million.
