Many of us may not even be sure what baking soda is commonly used for, but it’s pretty useful in lots of situations. For instance:

• use it as a deodorant
• use in place of toothpaste
• use it as an antacid for heartburn and upset stomachs
• treats insect bites and itchy skin
• cleans cloth diapers
• cleans batteries – it can be used to neutralize battery acid corrosion on cars!
• washes dishes
• extinguishes fires
