ZOMBIE FILM FRIDAY: Resident Evil | #BewareofUmbrellaCorp

I love Resident Evil – I love the franchise from the movies to the games. It’s probably one of my favourite franchises and if you’ve never seen it, I would suggest giving it a whirl.

mv5bmti5nzq3oti1nf5bml5banbnxkftztywmdgyntk5-_v1_ux182_cr00182268_al_A virus has escaped in a secret facility called “The Hive,” turning the staff into hungry zombies and releasing the mutated Lab “Animals” that they were studying. The complex computer shuts down the base to prevent infection. The parent corporation sends in an elite military unit, where they meet Alice, who is suffering from amnesia due to exposure to nerve gas. The military team must shut down the computer and get out, fighting their way past zombies, mutants, and the computer itself, before the virus escapes and infects the rest of the world. Alice must also come to terms with her slowly-returning memories.

My Rating: A

Interesting Facts: All the minor cuts and bruises on Milla Jovovich’s character are real—no make-up was applied; the crew had a hard time dealing with the dogs who kept licking the blood and meat off themselves; and even though they’re everywhere, the word “zombie” is never spoken in this film.

And now it’s time for the trailer…

  1. I love Resident Evil to as well, the games the films, its just so awesome! I especially like the original film, which I think was closer the tone of the game franchise, and I always enjoy re watching this movie. The game are brilliant as well, my faves a RE2 and RE4 🙂

    1. I agree, the first film is closer but I loved them all for different reasons and each one seems to hit a little differently on the franchise to incorporate innovative elements. RE2 is my favorite so far and I’ll admit I haven’t played RE4 yet but you’ve given me hope it’ll be good!

      1. I agree, each film has taken the series in a new direction, which keeps the franchise fresh. RE2 is a brilliant game isn’t it, I don’t think there has ever been a survival horror game since that has really matched it tbh – a classic! Highly recommend RE4 – think they are doing a remastered released for it soon – its a great game.

Get in on the action!
