C is for The Crazies, a delightfully scary remake of an earlier Romero classic! Though some may not agree that this is a ‘Zombie’ movie, I regard it as such.
As a toxin begins to turn the residents of Ogden Marsh, Iowa into violent psychopaths, sheriff David Dutton tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife, and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival.
My Rating: A-
Interesting Fact: The sheriff shuts off the water to the town including drinking water and the water used for crops, but the water in the car wash still works.
Honourable Mentions for the letter C: The Cabin in the Woods, The Children, Carriers
I enjoyed cabin in the woods. I’m not a zombie lover more of a vamp persona but I recently rad a zombie book called Husk (Canadian author) which was excellent
I haven’t heard of Husk, I’ll have to check it out Sue – thanks!
The sheriff wanted to shut off the water to the town, but the mayor (conversing while he’s hanging out at his pool) refuses to allow it. One of my faves, plus… Timothy Olyphant. Who couldn’t like that?
Good to see you again Rose! And I admit, I love me some Timothy Olyphant!
As for the water, the mayor did tell them not to do it, but they did it anyway 🙂
Love this one!
Thanks for stopping by Julie 🙂 The Crazies is one of my favs for sure!
I love The Crazies, too. Great flick. But The Cabin in the Woods – oh yeah, that’s some good splatter matter!! Love that one too! Thanks Julianne – great C day shares!
